So glad I visited during our vacation! It was a must for me and the church did not disappoint. You can light a candle for $4, I payed via Venmo scanning the QR code. They church is very well kept and they even have a small gift shop.

For my decades worth of traveling this globe… I am always drawn to cathedrals and churches. This one did not disappoint and is absolutely stunning inside. Rich in history and just as deep in beauty, this is a must see while in St. Augustine.

A beautiful cathedral. There is a recitation of the Rosary 1/2 hour prior to the weekday Mass. This was the first time since the covid scamdemic that both species of the Eucharist were offered at Mass. The stained glass is quite nice. We did not take the tour. Will do it next time.

If you are walking around the historic area, the Cathedral is a very nice place to stop for a few quiet minutes. Once inside you may see the beautiful altar, the side altars, the choir loft and the stained glass windows. Take a couple of minutes to sit or kneel in one of the pews for quiet reflection.

The oldest Catholic parish from 1565 had this rebuilt Church finished in 1797 that became a Cathedral in 1870. Truly remarkable! It’s beautiful inside and out. We sat peacefully for awhile and lit a candle in this little slice of heaven.

We attended Mass here on Sunday. The music was lovely, and the church itself is AMAZING! It’s so wonderful to be able to visit such an old church in the United States. The kids were excited about the unusual decorations. It’s very different than the modern looking Catholic church we attend at home and is much more like the older ones we’ve visited throughout Europe, New Orleans, and Puerto Rico. The pictures don’t do it justice! It’s very nice to be able to go somewhere very different than our regular church and still feel at home. The priest gave a very nice homily too.

Such a lovely Cathedral. Attended Divine Mercy Sunday mass and right after mass they did the Divine Mercy Chaplet which I wasn't expecting, it was wonderful. It does get full. During the week they only have mass at 7:00 a.m. but it stays open throughout the day. They also have a great gift shop. The Cathedral is located right in the heart of Old Town very easy access.
