We have attended mass in the past, however we decided to just stop by to light a candle. We ended up spending over an hour, (including spending a lot in the gift shop.) I will saw that it is more expensive compared to the shrine...More

Beautiful church even though remodeled, it has kept the original charm and ombiance of the original structure.

Surprisingly large. Wonderful ceilings. An air of tranquillity. Beautifully decorated without being too ornate.

If you like churches...stop here! Very colorful and pretty inside. I liked that the Blessed Sacrament was separated from the church proper by a curtain. This allows for private devotion away from the tourists.

I visited this cathedral as part of tour earlier this month. It is absolutely gorgeous. Mass was not going on at the time. The stained glass windows are beautiful and the staff there (docent's) are very helpful and enthusiastic.

Right in the heart of st. Augustine, the architecture and designs are well worth a visit. Sunday services have a beautiful choir.

I was so glad we stopped in at this cathederal. It was beautiful. The fact that it is the oldest cathedral in the US makes it that much more historical. It was very peaceful to sit and pray for a few minutes.

Pat G. No, you do not need a ticket. A collection will be taken up at the Offertory, but it is absolutely voluntary. In short, it would not cost you a penny, unless you want to donate.

I'm sorry we only visit in the summer. It's a fully functional church so I would say yes. You can always google their name.
