The Government House is a historically significant building that has been converted into a nice museum with exhibits that chronicle governmental, religious, Spanish, and Native American history in the Florida.

Lots of history here and interactive displays. Many artifacts from the Spanish and the Native Americans. Lots of Florida history and an overview of Spain’s grasp on the New World.

Learn more about St Augustine History at this free museum. It is air-conditioned, has public restrooms, and is a nice break from walking the Old Town. There are hands-on activities for children and adults to touch and feel.
