This is a nice museum if you are in the area. Very close to inexpensive public parking. We didn't go on the docent tour, but did hear a few minutes of it, and the woman was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Great museum shop. If you are a member of NARM--North American Reciprocal Museums--this museum is a member. NARM is a great... More

Excellent collection! We have become members and always take visitors here - small but really nice museum store, too.Excellent lunch if desired. Receptions can be held there, there are lectures and traveling exhibits...MUST COME!

The variety of the collection makes this museum a treat. You can view works from Greece to modern installations. There is something for every interest. Well known artists from the past to the present are represented. There is also an activity room for children and the docent tours are quite good. Eating in the MFA café is a treat.

A pretty small museum and nothing to prioritize over the other art options available in the area. However, they do have a strong impressionists section.

We enjoyed the Museum of Fine Arts and the different displays. I had enjoyed a Monet Collection awhile ago which was very impressive. It is a lovely museum and worth seeing. The staff was friendly. The cafe has limited hours which was a bit disappointing. The view is nice to have a beverage and sit for a bit, and then... More

I am always surprised at the amount of culture there is in St Petersburg, FL. The range of art is wide. There are paintings by Money, Gaugin, and Renoir. Some of the modern and abstract art was beyond me, however. The price is reasonable to enter. Get a discount coupon to save $2.

The MFA is a small but truly delightful place...the exhibits are thoughtful and stimulating, the staff well informed and helpful, the overall atmosphere relaxed.

The Museum Of Fine Arts in St Petersburg has a surprising collection of impressionist paintings. You need to call ahead before visiting. Last Saturday the museum had allowed a group to bring chairs in and set them up in a row blocking access to the impressionists. They sat there as though catatonic, silent, unmoving and rarely blinking.

James, Thank you for your review. In looking into this further, the students from the University of Central Florida spent the entire day with us learning about art on that Saturday you mention. They had docents assigned to them and they are in the Engineering Department. I am sorry they were blocking the view that day, but this isn't a... More

This museums permanent collection is small but very diverse. You will be in a room of Indian artifacts one moment, and the next in modern American. The collection is very good though. There are several rooms of beautiful glass.

We enjoyed the art selection. The audio guide downloaded, but it was not usable for audio on tour. The front desk said it was a work in progress. I do like an audio guide, so that was disappointing.

Good morning "sunny tiger", Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed the art. If you are referring to our App, MFA Viewpoint, this App was launched in 2015 and while we make updates to it continually, the audio should have been working fine. There is audio for each work of art within the App and I find... More
