Whenever I visit the St. Petersburg area I always ensure that I visit this nature preserve. It is calm amidst an urban environment. We always look to see if we spot at least one crocodile. This time the crocodile alert was out and we spotted...More

Shame taxpayers have to pay $3 to enter, but worth it. Lots of trails, water available, alligators and beautiful photo opportunities.

Fairly long walk, but most of it was gravel paved. Also some trails are grass, but well marked and easy to walk on. Saw several types of wildlife including an alligator. They have an injured bird sanctuary. It does cost 3.00 per person. There is...More

This is a beautiful place, so peaceful and nature everywhere. The raptor area is amazing too. Take a long, quiet walk and just relax and connect with nature. The perfect place for a walk to unwind.

If you want to have an encapsulated visit of wild Florida this is it. It's an unusual experience in the middle of an urban area. By all means take the trolley tour. Call for departure times

Nice, easy walking trails. Quiet. We saw one alligator. They have a great collection of injured raptors that can't be released, including a Bald Eagle, hawks, owls and such. Great for families. You can rent kayaks.

Boyd Hill is great (read my review), but Sawgrass Lake (also in St. Petersburg is even better. Check it out!
