We browsed a few of the shops where you were greeted in a friendly manner, it is a tourist culture after all. You can find bargains and if you are inclined, ask for the bargain rack souvenirs you want to bring home.

For those people for whom shopping is an integral part of any vacation, Periwinkle Way has a lot to offer. Seashell shops, clothing boutiques (including the original Chico's), jewelry shops, craft shops, all of those and more are here. However, solid bumper-to-bumper traffic jams are commonplace on Periwinkle Way in high season, because as well as all the nice shops,... More

Bring your patience and enjoy the view. There is a lot of traffic both vehicles and pedestrians and bicyclists too! Plenty of shops and restaurants along the way so take your time, enjoy your surroundings and head over to one of the may beaches on Sanibel/Captiva. A fun place to visit.

This is a narrow two lane road. Occasionally there are individuals directing traffic at various intersections, which is helpful. While driving, you must always be alert for bikes and pedestrians who are allowed to cross the road at marked locations. Lots of businesses along the way. Turning left is often difficult but drivers are good about letting people in

This is the main through way for Sanibel. Most of the shops and restaurants are located along this stretch of road. It is tree lined and peaceful depending on the time of year you visit. There are bike trails along the way also.
