It's a nicely landscaped road lined with interesting eateries and shops. But in high season, which seems to be most of the year, the traffic is bumper to bumper for miles. We arrived on the island in mid morning on a weekday and were stunned...More

Perriwinkle is a one lane , in each direction, road.. At times it can be very slow due to the traffic.. Unfortunately, its a main road to get through town. Hope you dont get stuck behind a big truck..

We plan our trips to Sanibel so that we will be going the opposite direction of the traffic flow. They do have a cop at the major intersection to help keep traffic moving. After 7:30 PM it's not too bad getting off Sanibel.

While biking around scenic Sanibel, discovered The Paper Fig - a friendly, healthy eatery with many scrumptious selections. Served up one the best Avocado sandwiches. Bravo!

There were covered walkways so we were able to stay dry --typical beach shops but in a nice place. Blue giraffe--was just average.

Great selection of shops and dining experiences. Cute, unique shops for those gifts for you or those not lucky enough to be there with you. There is a place for the kids to play while you shop, and plenty of comfortable areas to just sit...More
