We stayed on site at Sanibel Moorings where the gardens are located. Not your typical botanical gardens where you enter a gate that leads to green houses and fields filled with plants and flowers. The botanical gardens are scattered throughout the Sanibel Moorings property. Pretty...More

Very enjoyable and informative tour of foliage on Sanibel. Odd that it is actually in a condo hotel setting and not a park setting like most botanical gardens. You walk around the buildings, the swimming pool and parking lot. So, the setting is not totally...More

Sanibel Moorings is a spectacular setting right on the Gulf of Mexico, with each building beautifully nestled and surrounded with spectacular gardens! A Garden of Eden. Definitely worth the visit. I will personally go visit each year.

Your basically walking around an estate with rooms of guests everywhere and looking at their gardens. How weird. I felt super uncomfortable and people from their balconies kept staring at me so I gave up and left.More

We had a great time walking the garden and learning from the master gardener about the many plants on the grounds. The garden is exceptional and the guide was extremely informative. It is a lovely way to spend a Sanibel morning. Wear comfortable shoes.

It was a delightful & informative tour. We learned so much about your beautiful island. There were so many interesting plants in the relatively small area of the gardens. There wasn't a lot of walking so that older participants were able to keep up. So...More

Was fascinating to see how the gardens not only survived, but recovered from, Hurricane Irma. Excellent leader!

Very friendly, and had a passion for what she's trying to accomplish. Great way to spend a morning, and very intimate small groups.

We really enjoyed the time we spent strolling through the Sanibel Moorings botanical gardens. As an island resident I always marvel at the beauty and variety of the many plants, flowers and trees. It was so interesting to learn about native and non-native plants and...More

This is the grounds of a waterfront condominium complex. Many labeled native plants fairly well maintained plants. Colorful in early March and I imagine getting more colorful until July. Very beautiful beach on the south side and canal front homes on the north have docks....More
