Smaller beach parking area than Bowman beach. The shells were more plentiful here than the more popular Bowman. The beach access entrance has bathrooms and is nicely walkable with pavers. The parking at all the public beaches is $4 per hour!!! But a ranger informed us that during that paid time you can park in any of the public beach... More

This public Beach is Just down from the larger Bowman Beach. Nice sand beach with good shelling. A little less crowded than Bowman. Smaller parking area and it full by 10am. Parking is $4 per hour and the machine takes credit cards. Very short walk from the parking lot to the beach. Restrooms in the parking lot are close to... More

One of the largest, though less traveled, public beaches on beautiful Sanibel Island, this beach should spark the love of shell-hunting for both the beginner and professional. This park beach is located on the south side of the island, and thus, the tide brings in thousands of shells and other ocean-life to these shores several times a day. The parking... More

Overcast day due to the smoke, but it was still a wonderful beach walk and we found a few shells even though we arrived after going to Ding Darling and then lunch. Moderately crowded beach with many people enjoying walking since the sun was fleeting.

We went to this beach on 3 separate days and enjoyed the uncrowded beauty of the place. Car parking is $4/hour, but if you rent bikes, it is a great alternative to get to this beach. There are nice restrooms which not all of the Sanibel beaches have onsite. Also, there is a paved trail (nearby) that takes you past... More

Like most beach parks in FL. The beach is decent, but then I am used to Sarasota sand. Need I say more? It was a lot quieter and much less hustle, mostly vacant after the rain. so pretty much had it to ourselves. yippee!

Splendid stretch of sand and shells. The walk to the beach is easy and level. Not crowded at all. Found many nice shells.

This beach was recommended to us since we were bringing our 2 dogs to Sanibel with us. Typically, we head to Bowman's Beach but we were pleasantly surprised by this one! It is $4/hour to park. There are well-kept restrooms and showers and the trails to the beach were nice enough that we left our shoes back at the car.... More

I really love this beach! Parking is close to beach and bathroom facilities with an outside shower. They have shaded picnic areas with BBQ grills and one is covered. Shells are more plentiful at low tides. It costs 4 dollars an hour to park but totally worth it. If you are a Florida resident and visit often you it may... More

OK, with all the shells looking the same around the island, I really think that this might be the best beach on the island. There are so many families here and the shells were truly unique and lovely. Dolphins dancing in the waters and we were told they have gopher turtles. Did not see any but we will be back... More
