This is a wonderful beach to go shelling on. Is a fun place to snorkel too. I can't even tell you how many cool shells we found. We only took a day trip to this beach but we will definitely be back for another visit!

We just bought a condo at Blind Pass Condominiums and we are so happy that we did! The shelling is awesome at the Blind Pass Beach!

There were tons of shells, but they were mainly small or broken. My daughter found some wonderful larger shells. I found a couple. BUT, I found lots of " dollhouse shells." We named them thus because they are the perfect size for a dollhouse or...More

Small parking lot, and a small beach (compared to others in the area) but plenty of shells and a great place to watch the sunset. Parking is $5 an hour if you can get a spot.

We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in early March, it was very crowded so we did not stay long. Probably better mid-week or another time of year. Stump Pass was much more mellow.

Problem is parking. Maybe 20 spots on the Captive side and 25 on the Sanibel side. If you are lucky to get a spot go at low tide for best opportunity for shells.

After not finding parking at the “more popular” beaches in Sanibel Island we ended up at Blind Pass Beach. While not q la huge beach it did offer plenty of room and included a terrific place to watch the sunset.

We found the place, parked for a modest fee, and walked along the beach looking for shells and laid on a sheet in the sun for a while. Nice afternoon. Water calm. Plenty of shells. Park clean. Nice restrooms and foot wash across the bridge,...More

Where are the best shells on Sanibel? I hear shelling is great in many locations, but this beach was extraordinary. We found so many conch shells, we were putting them back! The secret - get there just before sunrise - you'll beat the crowds and...More

You can call "Island Taxi", which will run from the airport to wherever you want to go at including Blind Pass. Just call and ask them how much it would be.

Shelling is usually good all year, but keep in mind that one day you might find a ton of shells at a given beach and nothing the next day. The two most popular beaches are Lighthouse and Blind Pass. It's best to get a tide... More
