Almost any beach in or around Sanibel is great! Shells abound, the beach is clean, and people are friendly. The biggest problem is that so many of the beautiful shells you find are 'alive' so they must be thrown back. Please DON'T take live shells...More

It's totally inappropriate and unnecessary to charge $4 an hour to park at a beach. Heck, we don't even do that in New York and believe me, we invented the meaning of screwing the consumer. Aside from that, you will get to see an amazing...More

Each year we try to stay near blind pass. We love the shelling. The Undertow is bad at times. Lots of people shelling and fishing. Minimal parking so get there early. Great sunrises and sunsets . One of favorite beaches on sanibel

There are two sides to Blind Pass. Both are very beautiful with a wide variety of shells. We saw several dolphins playing in the water. Parking is quite a challenge.

Perhaps you need to be a local to figure out where to park. The lot was tiny. There was a sign directing people to Bowmans Beach 2+miles back. We really wanted to spend time here. We could see dolphins swimming just off shore. It is...More

We found the shells typical, but they were piled in thick mounds.Fun to sift through. Good shells in the water too. Beach not as nice to walk though as do many shells ..have flip flood handy. Beach is also not real goat so walking isn't...More

We were driving by and could see a dolphin nose vertically out of water so we decided to stop and watch. There were at least 8 dolphins swimming around and eating their dinner. The water was very swift and rough at the bridge. Parking is...More

Great for shells, go at low tide. Can get crowded, but you can walk to other part of beach where not crowded. Parking is pitiful, very limited and expensive. You can also fish from bridge or surf fish.

Crowded beach. Everyone is walking with nets and looking for shells. My family tried to fish, but no luck.

Blind Pass separates Sanibel from Captiva. There is a public parking lot on either side (pay-to-park, naturally). Neither lot is very big.
