This is a large and beautiful park. Many available activities and low admission fees. You can camp, take tram and boat tours and rent bikes, kayaks or canoes. We rented bikes and had a pleasant ride that also involved some prime birdwatching. We have several remarkable close-up photos of a sandhill crane.

What can you say about a State Park that gives you everything you were looking for. We went in unsure of what to expect and found it all. Stopped at the Airboat Ticket sales first and bought our tickets an hour in advance. Since we had some time and the lake was a little low, the attendant told us to... More

A tip of the tourist cap to Capt/guide Jamie for an informative one-hour air boat cruise. He provided a fun and educational look at dozens of alligators and colorful birds.

We took both the tram ride and the airboat. The tram was probably the more interesting of the two with the most information. The "airboat" was basically a barge with a fan that went a couple of miles an hour. We saw alligators, but at a large distance.

Very disappointed on our trip to Myakka last week. We paid over $60 (plus entrance fee) for our family of 6 to ride the airboat tour and didn't see one gator. Conditions on the lake were windy on our visit. We learned that the gators move to calmer areas on windy days. I was upset that they don't bother to... More

We've been to Sarasota 5-6 times and somehow managed to miss this gem. Now I will make it a repeat occasion on every trip. The most incredible nature sighting can be found here. We saw alligators, white pelicans, great egrets, blue herons, etc. We skipped the canopy as it was a bit crowded but did the Boardwalk, and a few... More

Beautiful park along river. Nice, informative boat ride with funny and knowledgeable driver. You'll see lots of alligators if you sit on right side of boat. Tasty food in cafe. Several spots to view and walkable nature trails. Bikes available for rental. Board walk through rain forest to river. Popular deck for bird watching. Nice nature spot close to urban... More

Lots to do! Several hiking trails that are nice. Boardwalk for birding. Saw alligators near the bridge. Lots of picnic tables. Didn't do airboat or tram. Nice gift shop with a large variety of items. Canopy walk was cool.
