Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

Amazing home to a variety of animals that have been rescued. Especially enjoyed seeing the animals in action during the two shows. If you have little ones, they have pony rides, petting zoo (although, the big kids enjoyed it also), and feeding of the animals, including feeding the tigers. The Liger is amazing and a must see!

My husband and I both love this place! The animals are all rescues, as is our fur baby cat!! The shows are nice! Great little lunch spot, they have concession stand but I think you may even be able to bring lunch! The cat show is awesome for all age kids!! (I mean the "of age" ones too!!) Very informative... Big Cat Habitat is a great place for a family fun day. They have a large variety of exotic animals that have been rescued and have a home there. It is very clean and the animals are well taken care of. The Rosario family has taken in and trained animals for many years. The 2 shows we attended were very... More

This wonderful place far exceeded my expectations. It's a fairly small, intimate compound where visitors can enjoy a close up encounter with 50+ big cats of all sorts who have been rescued from their prior situations. The animals are obviously loved and well cared for, and the volunteers who are stationed throughout the compound are helpful in answering questions and... More

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The animals are well cared for and loved. The two shows were fun and educational. Those big cats sure love to play.

One of the great parts of this is that it is both a sanctuary and an attraction, neither of which sacrifices anything to the other. Be sure to see the shows if you can; they're quite comical and impressive. My 3 year old daughter, 14 year old son, 65 year old parents - all of us - thoroughly enjoyed the... More

What a pity that people are not more responsible when taking wild animals into their homes. Most of the animals at the bid cat habitat are rescues. They are now well fed and watered and most important are loved. It is very apparent, that the family really enjoy these animals and do their very best for them. What a joy... More

We went here the day after Christmas. When we were at Celery Fields we could hear the big cats roaring. It was after 4:00 pm and the Big Cats were only 1/3 mile way. It was pretty cool!!! The Big Cat show was at 2:00 pm and some may say this is a circus but the four of us didn't... More
