We enjoyed walking around, great variety of vendors, and products offered. I bought yummy cookies, towels and really wanted some the flowers but as we were traveling couldn't keep them alive until we returned home so I had to just watch people walking with them. Great place to find something, a little for everyone.

While recently spending a weekend in Sarasota, we stumbled across this wonderful craft and farmers market. A lot of locally grown vegetables, many which were organically grown, and several hand made crafts. The main street was blocked and made it easy and convenient for shopping. A recommended stop if your in the area.

We visited the downtown Sarasota farmers market at about 7:30am, shortly after it opened and found some great produce. Food available included a wide array of vegetables and fruits, fresh fish, baked goods, eggs, and other items such as olive oils, sauces etc. I believe there are also some meats. It was a treat to find fresh strawberries and other... More

Farmer's Markets don't get much better than this one. There is a great selection of items you actually may want to buy. Bring a shopping basket and a cooler with ice - there's a lot of fresh local seafood and a couple of prime meat vendors, too. The street food options are all good - the Hungarian pastry and the... I haven't been back to Sarasota in several years, but recently spent a weekend there. The Main Street area has exploded with restaurants and shops, so it is wonderful just to walk around the downtown and explore. If you are there on Saturday morning, don't miss the Farmers Market along Lemon Avenue and State Street, crossing over Main Street. There... More

I alway enjoy the Sarasota Farmers Market. It's got a great location downtown. The streets are closed to vehicles and the front of the market is against a large seashell fountain. Police there make it very easy for pedestrians, strollers, and dogs on leashes to roam the market. There is usually at least one band playing plus recorded music at... More

All good tips you've listed. We do try to have police and crossing guards to help the traffic flow each Saturday. We hope you'll be able to visit us again soon. More

Variety of things for sale. Live music. Dogs welcome. Parking not bad at all the day I went. An area to sit and enjoy whatever food or beverages you have purchased and listen to the music. Aisles at Browns display very narrow and not inviting to wheelchairs, but otherwise had no trouble getting around in my powerchair.

This market is located in the center of town at the intersection of Main St and Lemon St. It runs two blocks along Lemon, which is closed for traffic when the market is open. Lots of nice stands selling all manner of food and crafts. Parking can be a problem, but be patient and something will turn up. The market... More

There is a fairly new parking garage on State Street, so maybe that will make it easier to find parking next time you visit. Thanks for the review! More
