When you look in TripAdvisor it looks like two separate locations. This is inside the state park very close to the entrance. It is hard to go upstairs if you are in poor shape, otherwise is as going to a fifth floor. Nice view from...More

The best part of this park is the huge gators you pass going into the park going over the bridge. We also spotted a deer in the distance. The canopy walk is very short. The tower a high climb, great view but limited space on...More

Climb up to the top of the canopy walkway and you can see for miles. Absolutely stunning views of the Myakka River State Park from above. You need to be physically able bodied to climb to the top, it's not a wheelchair friendly activity. Well...More

This is a wonderful park, we spent a wonderful day there. The staff are very friendly and informative. We did the boat tour, the canopy walkway and the bird observation walkway. Prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this park as a must do!

It’s a short walk to the tower and canopy walk, not an issue for our young kids. Awesome views from the tower! Worth the time.

If you can climb stairs do take this in. The view from the top is great. You are literally above the trees. Don't forget your camera.

Recently we took a few hours to make a trip to one of our very best state parks. Your tour begins with the walk across the Canopy Walkway. While it moves while you are walking, it is not anything to be concerned with. We are...More

We made a wuick stop to the park on our way through Sarasota. The canopy walk is a short walk, no experience necessary and little legged hikers didn’t complain. The canopy itself is relatively short. The tower is 75’ up and can be quite dizzying......More

The canopy walk is only a few minutes (15-20 minutes) but it is worth the stairs to see the view from above the treetops. It wasn’t busy when we went - Saturday afternoon around 3:30-4:00. The earlier part of the day was spent in the...More

This is a great opportunity for kids as well as adults. The trail is completely doable even with a stroller and there are plenty of things for kids to do along the trail. It's quite educational and still a lot of fun to climb. The...More
