We went after watching the youtube video's and hearing cool things about it. The music is fun to listen and dance to. I will say this does get crowded easily, so get there early. They say it starts an hour before sunset, I think it started earlier, but we still enjoyed it. I will prepare you for people smoking stuff,... More

The sand is like white powder, the sunsets are magnificent, the drum circle adds to the glow, people gather placing their chairs around the outside of the circle preparing for the show. Soon the drums start, the dancing begins. There are houla hoops, performers both in and outside the circle. Some of the folks must have been circus performers practicing.... More

If you go to Siesta Key and don't do this you'll have to explain why to all your cool friends and they will look down on you so you might as well check it out. It's fun, it's right at the access, and it's right at sunset. How much fun do you need anyway? It's a blast!

We have been coming to Siesta Key for a couple years and just recently heard about the drum circle. It's every Sunday evening on the beach. We arrived about 15 minutes before sunset, and should have come earlier as parking was hard to find. The parking lot by the beach is free, and spacious, but this is a popular event... More

It was fun to watch the locals dance, hula hoop, and entertain in the drum circle. The music was relaxing yet fun, and we would recommend this to anyone who visits Siesta Key.

Been to the drum circle a couple of times before, but never been preached at before. Guy turned up with a megaphone and a couple of mates holding boards and proceeded to preach to all us sinners watching and participating in the drum circle. He was hilarious, although am sure he didn't intend to be. Told everybody how he used... More

We really enjoyed this......ignore the GPS address in the TA Facts......just drive along Beach Rd. until you see a large new grey building on the gulf side......it sits at the rear of its parking lot and the sign on the building clearly says Siesta Beach. Parking is free, beach is free, drumming is free, Jesus preachers (with megaphones) annoying, ignore... More

I read about this and really wanted to go, but it was raining on our way to Siesta Key from Sarasota. After dinner, we went to the parking lot, and could here the drums. It was smaller than usual, according to others, but they still set up in a pavillion. The drummers were great. The atmosphere was fun. Great, free... More

Begins about 2 hours before sunset every Sunday. Get there fairly early if you want to be in the front of the circle. Fun to watch belly dancers and drummers. You can join in the fun and dance or hula hoop in the circle, but it's fun to just watch, and have an alcohol beverage if you chose, while you... More
