Siesta Key Beach has to be the widest beach anywhere! The sand is like powdered sugar and beautiful. The beach was clean and the tide just rippled onto the shore. Even though we were here for a chilly week in January (50s & 60s), it...More

We visited when the weather was rather gloomy but that didn't stop Siesta Beach from showing off its beauty. I have never walked on sand that felt as soft as this beach. The waves were calm and the sand was precious. I'm definitely planning on...More

If you have ever dreamed of the perfect beach, this is it. Very wide, shallow crystal clear water that you can walk very far out in, and the most amazing sand you have seen. It's really more like powered sugar. Lifeguards on duty and a...More

By far some of the whitest softest sand in Florida. The beach is secluded and serene. I am glad that so few people know about this fabulous little Key.

I think I am falling in love with the Gold Coast. I was there in January and walked long stretches of nearly empty beach, then watched the sun set over a clear blue sky. Birds, shells, soft sand, and clean. Nice

Never been to any beach before on a 100 degree day where the sand was COOL to your feet. Siesta Key was awesome. The sunsets were beyond beautiful and the locals were friendly and helpful.

I love Siesta Key. I couldn't believe how crowded it was during Christmas vacation! I usually go in April. Of course, it has received so much press in the last year or two as being the number one beach in America, I guess the word...More

The beaches were not very pretty. The red tide was making everyone cough. I would go elsewhere next time. A little town called the Village was sort of cute

Pros: lots of public access points, free parking just time time to find it. Clean bathrooms, a publix grocery right there in walking distance. Powder white sand. Cons: no pets allowed. Crowded.

Swimming in normal conditions is extremely safe. As always, children and non-swimmers should be closely supervised but in good weather, the water is calm. Lifeguards are posted in the public park area during set daytime... More

My son is going to siesta with 3 friends who are all 20 years old. I was just wondering what the police presence was like on the beach or in that area. They just plan to go and relax and drink some beer no partying or anything like that. Just a little something to end their first semester of college. Do people say much or would it be that big of a deal? If you are going to bash them for drinking then just don't comment no need for that.

There are a few police on the beach from time to time on four wheelers. I have never seen it to be a problem for anyone to have alcohol on the beach.

I would start with a phone call to Beneva Flowers. They have a huge business providing flowers for beach weddings. I'm sure they would have recommendations for wedding planners.
