This is an interesting site of a slate mine - not very big, very clearly explain the life of the workers extracting the slates from the earth. Also, why it stops, why it can't be in an open sky extraction.... Explanation you can listen, although, in French Flemish and.. Walloon only. You can bring a slate stone back home from the mine :-)…

This is a must do if you are in the region as it's part of their heritage, it's not an incredible visit but worth while doing to understand how the people in the region worked. The owner of the venue gives a friendly welcome, and after your visit you can enjoy some local beers.
