Very informative and interesting walk back in history. There is a souvenir shop and place to sit and eat (indoors) at the entrance of the village. Look out over the sea from the lookout point.

The physical elements are all there - a recreation based on a variety of archaeological finds throughout the area. The recreations are from a bit after the Viking age, but that is OK. The place is hard to find. Friendly entry - lots to see...More

It's a very impressive museum about vikings and their daily life. Location is great, directly on the beach of Öresund, just a little south of the bridge. It's a historic location where the battle of Foteviken took place. Cozy houses, interesting movies and displays, very...More

This place is amazing in my opinion. It's a working Viking village with many houses built using techniques found in archaeological digs. There were several 'actors/vikings' who were busy at Viking tasks including experimental archaeology. You can stay on site if you have a Viking...More

I have become fascinated with the vikings while watching the series produced by the History Channel. The Fotevikens Museum has exceeded my expectations because of: - the location, as it is so close to the sea (we could also see the Oresund bridge in the...More
