Florida Keys vacation back in June '17. Had to make the stop in Sugarloaf Key on our way to Key West to visit the "Bat Tower". Quirky attraction but glad we did cause #Irma wiped it out:(

Unfortunately hurricane Irma has destroyed the Perky bat tower. Another piece of history is gone forever.

Bat Tower failure - along with Flagler's Folly. Enjoy the scenic road to see what amounted to a good idea without a good follow up plan. SPOILER ALERT: The bats left :-(.
