I've passed the entrance to McClay Gardens State park probably 300 times in the last year. Finally in December we decided to visit. As it's called a garden December is probably not the best time to visit. But we had family here and thought it would be a good place for a photo shoot so my granddaughter and I took... More

A beautiful setting for a walk, to admire the vegetation - especially the camellias in December - and swim in the warmer months.

The gardens are gorgeous. Great way to spend an afternoon, walking the grounds or sitting on a bench. 6 bucks for he day or a yearly pass. Great Value. They have a lake, swimming and boating.

Our family held a pre-wedding reception here at one of the covered picnic areas. Gorgeous setting that offered folks of all ages (93 to 6 months) a chance to do whatever they wanted and still be part of the family gathering; kickball, slow beautiful walks, chatting with those you haven't seen in a while, fixing lunch, having an enjoyable meal... A nature/garden lovers paradise. Come early on hotter days to beat the afternoon heat on the trails, but you can stay and enjoy the afternoon sitting in the shaded areas of the garden and lake areas. Check ahead for the hours to tour the house. The park and picnic areas have nice shaded areas and clean bathroom. You can easily... More

I love to walk these gardens by myself (to think) or with a good friend (to chat). The grounds are meandering and beautiful and sometimes there are unexpected nooks and crannies. It's a calm, sweet place to simply be.

Maclay Gardens is a beautiful place to visit in the spring if you enjoy walking through the grounds that are loaded with flowers in bloom. Good place to go picnic with the family and swim.

It was a nice place to visit. There is a lot of walking so if you are in bad shape, its a decent place as long as you take your time. Its a really nice garden you lose track of time.

Had an hour between meetings so went to the gardens to walk. Everything was beautifully kept as usual. It was a sunny warm day but the place was not too busy so had room to wander in your own thoughts. Lovely benches to sit and watch the trees sway.
