Family outing to the park.

Picked up lunch and went to this nice park with the family. Kids were able to play at the playground and enjoy the surroundings. Nice place to get away for a few hours.

Went to the recent Words of the South festival on a perfect Spring day. The food carts covered a wide range of eats, the concerts were worth the wait, the writers were glad to share their experiences. The park is easy to navigate, has restrooms that are well located and plenty of open space to wander, sit on the grass,... More

Years ago, Tallahassee reportedly had a waterfall - a cascade. But for many generations, it's just had flooding problems. But now, thanks to some truly excellent planning, it has a gorgeous park with walking paths that wind around a pond (and a cascade!), the Smokey Hollow commemorative village (Tally's African American roots), a glitzy and fairly good restaurant in a... Located near the Capitol, Cascades Park is a nice lace to stroll on a sunny day. There is a bar and restaurant located in the park.

Great place to walk and enjoy nature while in the city. There a playground for kids, porch swings, water features, Smokey Hollow historic site and the Korean War Memorial.

Beautiful park. Lots to do there though I arrived late for the days activities. Easy walk from my hotel.

Cascade Park is part of the cities rejuvenation plan. It is a couple blocks from the capitol building and has an amphitheater. Festivals are held here, and many people enjoy the area for general relaxing. There is a small restaurant the Edison near the amphitheater. There are also restroom facilities too.

Having grown up in Tallahassee and knowing the area as an old ball field, it has made quite a change. Many activities from concerts to festivals to fireworks are being held there. But just walking around especially in the evening at sunset it is just a wonderful place to go relax or go for a walk or run and get... More

Cascade Park is a wonderful park to just walk. I make time at least once a week to walk around during my lunch hour. This is a great addition to bridge Downtown and Southside. I should note, though, watch the geese. They aren't as "interactive" as the ducks at Lake Ella but they tend to gather near the pond in... More

Go with someone who can tell you about how its is built as part of flood control for the city. For example the amphitheater is designed to be submerged in water if needed!
