Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo features more than 1,300 amazing animals on 56 acres of natural habitats. Guests will find many interactive exhibits and opportunities to get closer to wildlife -- feed a giraffe, hold a lorikeet, touch a stingray and more. The Zoo's Manatee and Aquatic Center expands the traditional boundaries of a zoo, focusing efforts on critical care for injured, sick and orphaned wild manatees. Also at the zoo: splash ground water play areas, wild rides, educational shows and cafes.

Perfect for a four year old. We decided to skip annual Disney passes this year and go with the Tampa Lowry Park Zoo, MOSI, and a few other local offerings. We hadn't been to the zoo in several years. I was a little disappointed in that it seemed a bit run down, not awful, but like they haven't really improved... More

I have been to many zoos all over the country and grew up going to Brookfield Zoo, so it is hard to compare Lowry Park Zoo. Is it the best zoo I've ever been to? Certainly not, but it does have some things going for it. Pros: - Great size for little ones - All rides are included with ticket... More

This is a fun little zoo that kids would especially enjoy. They have some free rides that kids can go on and the animal displays are well done. The only concern I had was that not all bathrooms offered changing tables. This is an easy fix that would make the zoo much more family friendly. We had to bypass a... More

We came for the month long Halloween event. It was a good time, the set up was cool and the kids obviously enjoyed the animals. Near the entrance, there was bar serving alcohol and that was great for the adults! This is not the best zoo, but it is a nice thing to do with the kids

They have really updated everything here since the last time my family has come. We really enjoyed looking at all the animals, especially on the train. The mantee area is beautiful, and not to mention how well they take care of them.

The Tampa Zoo is worth visiting just for the baby primates such as baby chimp, baby orangutans, and baby mandrill. The male and female mandrill are fabulous also! The exhibits are open so you have full view of the animals.

With 56 acres of habitat for more than 1,200 animals, its surrounding namesake park includes picnic tables outside the main gate ( hand stamp to come and go). Its inexpensive, you have perfect weather, good staff, just about every animal, bird, and reptile you can think of.

We purchased online tickets and for a couple of bucks more than a single day pass you get a return ticket to visit as many times as you want in a year which is excellent value even for us with only 3wks before leaving town. The weather wasn't that warm but it did make it easy walking round - guess... More

During our time in Tampa we bought the yearly membership at Lowry Park Zoo and used it often. It's the perfect size zoo for little ones and always so easy to get in and out of. It can be busy in the morning hours but the crowds die down in the afternoon. Big plus is they serve beer!
