If you like Big Cats, this is a wonderful place to visit. You (one) can obviously not get too close to the animals, but they are something to see. The lion was the largest one I have ever seen, and there was a large variety of tigers. The tour guide was very informative. The tour lasted about 1 1/2 hours.... More

This is a sanctuary rescue facility for big cats of many varieties - lions, tigers, leopards, servals, caracals, lynx, bob cats, cougars and probably others I don't remember. We took the Keepers Tour. At over 2 hours, we saw the entire place, led by a very knowledgeable staff member (who said that all staff are volunteers!). We first made some... More

I was fortunate enough to go to Big Cat Rescue on January 8th and took a Keeper's Tour. We got to make enrichment for the cats, and as we toured, our keeper passed out the goodies. It was a very educational experience as well as enjoyable. First and foremost, the enclosures are massive. The cats have tons of room to... More

I enjoyed the entire 90 minute tour. Everything was very well presented. Most of the Big cats were visible, a few were sleeping out of range. The tour guide was very informative as were the recorders we were all given at the beginning. I had used a golf cart to get around and the driver made sure I saw and... More

This an amazing place. If you love cats or animals in general you will love this place. If you are concerned with the welfare of animals you will be impressed with this place and the work they are doing beyond this sanctuary. My husband and I took the 10 am adult tour. It was an informative two hours. Amazing stories... More

We visited Big Cat Rescue while in Tampa before we went on a cruise. The guides were fantastic and I got a lot of great pictures. The cats appear to be well taken care and healthy of despite some awful circumstances they lived through before they arrived at this wonderful place.

Big Cat Sanctuary was an experience that opened my eyes to the plight of the preservation of Big Cats and the horror that many exotic cats go through in the trade business. Due to the non-profit nature of this organization, their ultimate focus is the cats and they simply take you on their daily journey. Seeing this organization care for... More

This place is so wonderful! They take in big cats that had bad homes, were mistreated and too old for the circus, or were declawed! It is great to see them being able to live a full life to the end. I took my 19 yr old Grandson and he found it very interesting and was glad he got to... More
