A buddy of mine introduced me to this place and it is a hidden gem for sure. I had no idea this place existed right off of Hillsborough Avenue. It was only $ 2.00 to enter the park and I rented a kayak for $ 25.00 (for 4 hours). I thought that was a pretty good deal. The staff was... More

One of the best parks in the area for hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking and pure natural beauty. The first field trip i took while attending TJHS. Bring the family and kids. Enjoy the top of the bay and its natural beauty. Lots of wildlife in and out of the water. The canoe rentals are affordable and fun. The winter... More

Recommended by a friend. Nice park. Nature center was informative. Park ranger very pleasant and helpful. Bathroom was clean. Pathways are nicely laid out and easy to traverse. Great nature viewing opportunities. Walkway along the water on two trails. $2 entry per car. Can rent canoe for $25 for 4 hours which we didn't have time for, but will definitely... More

Located just off the Tampa Rd at Double Branch Rd the park is not signposted from the main road so not immediately easy to find. Entrance is $2 per car - you fill an envelope and retain the tear tag for display in windscreen. There are trails leading off the main drive, along with picnic areas, restrooms and nature centre... Spent the day at the Upper Bay Trail Park, which is located on the south side of Hillsborough Drive. Found the park just by turning down a road, looking for an inlet or channel to the Bay, what a surprise. There are hiking trails, short and long, birding information, butterfly garden and a great Information Center that had classes, exhibits... More

Someone posted 25.00 entry, not so. It's 25.00 to rent a canoe or kayak for 24 hours. We rented 3 for two adults and 3 kids. We had a great time! Easy for beginners. Wear sports sandles is you can. Some sand bars have shell approaches which can cut your feet. The rangers are very accommodating and helpful. There is... More

The kayaking is great and affordable. Rangers are super nice and friendly as well. Don't go expecting a good trail, but for what it is, it's a nice little park.

Enjoy walking the many trails, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking. This park has an abundant wildlife running around from Eagles to Raccoons. My family and I enjoy going to tis park as often as we can. There are many pavilions to suit any size party. Extra clean restrooms. There is even a free museum with a live beehive made out of class.... More
