This park was very close to our hotel (Hampton Inns and Suites) so we spent part of an afternoon exploring it. Since we are from Canada we find the Florida hammocks and swamps very interesting. We used the boardwalk in the park to travel the length of Lettuce Lake and we saw and photographed several alligators and water moccasins as... More

Like nearly all Hillsborough County Parks, there is a $2 per car entrance fee, but its well worth it. If you like picnics, this is your place. If you like to roller blade, or just walk, the large paved path around the main park is your place too. Finally, if you like to get close to nature, the boardwalk is... More

Just $2 to park your car. Incredible boardwalk with all sorts of birds and alligators to be viewed very easily. Could have easily spent the day if we had brought lunch. Lots of pavilions and tables for eating. Will definitely visit agsin.

Read online park was free.... It is not. Be aware of online reviews that say it's free. It is only 2.00 per car, which is minimal, but just want to let public know.

I'm not much of a city person and after driving through Tampa decided I just didn't have it in me that day to explore with all the hustle and bustle. This place was a saving grace. I spent around 4 hours here walking the trails and watching the wild life. Would definitely come back if my travels ever take me... More

A great park for couples or families. Has a long boardwalk along the river, always see an alligator or two. A large park with plenty of tables, playground, walking areas and large grassy areas. Great for picnicing or just a quiet walk. Never too crowded when I've been there. Charges $2 per car.

Beautiful setting for a walk with lots of vegetation, wildlife and birds. The boardwalk and observation tower are a must see.
