This small park dedicated to the Cuban nationalist, Jose Marti, is tucked off 8th Street in Ybor City. If you can get there when it is open, you can amazingly walk onto Cuban soil. The land was gifted to the Republic of Cuba in 1956....More

Quaint little park that speaks volume for Cubans, and Cuban-Americans in the U.S. I didn't know much of the history of this park until a recent visit. I can see how Cubans are drawn to this small piece of Cuban soil in Ybor City.

The little park at the edge of Ybor City has a statue of Jose Marti, Our shuttle driver showed as free-roaming chickens. Good place to enjoy a cigar purchased in town.

A small commemorative park located in Ybor City. Jose Marti was a Cuban national who emigrated to Ybor City. I don't know that I would call it a park per se more like a small grassy monument with some benches. It is located on 8th...More

We visited the park during a tour of Ybor City....a nice, pretty little park with a lot of history behind it. Walk right on into Cuba without leaving Tampa!

Want to be able to say that you have been in Cuba? Visit this park in Ybor City, FL! It is Cuba territory! The park honors Cuban-born poet, journalist, essayist, and revolutionary José Martí who made his home in Ybor City in the late-1800s.
