My wife and I have never been kayaking before. The staff was great and helped us get started with a few pointers! We will come back next year!

We, also, were not made aware of the fact that we would be paddling AGAINST the current the whole way. We did make it all the way up to Weeki Wachee and were able to float back; however, there was a LOT of kayakers heading...More

This by far was the worst experience I have ever had at Weeki Wachee. When I called the day before to make a reservation they hurried me through the process and stated they were working through cancellations but that they could get us in. I...More

Had a wonderful time kayaking with my kids. Ages 14 and 8, rented 2 two person kayaks. Beautiful water, fun atmosphere, did not feel any pressure to be great at what we were doing. Kids had a great time on the rope swing. We got...More

Busy, destination to nowhere, murky water., lots of partying locals. The owner was accommodating and assisted with parking, but that is the best I've got. You may want to try Weeki Wachee State Park (local) instead or better yet, swim with manatees in Crystal River...More

I was looking to replace my sit in Kayak with a sit on top kayak which is much more suited to warm water paddling. Most rental kayaks are terrible. The kayak Shack has a good selection of high Quility kayaks. They could not have been...More

We had a great time! We rented two single kayaks. The employees were very friendly. We are definitely going to visit The Kayak Shack again.

Family of 5, kids ages 12-19. First time kayakers! We all had a great time. Easy to paddle, chose 2 doubles and a single for cost savings. We paddled for about 1.5 hours then stopped for a picnic lunch. We found a little alcove, just...More

Let me start with the good. The water was wet. After that it is all down hill. Rude and condescending from the time you park to the time you leave. Maybe you like this this type a treatment from a 17 year old. Talking down...More

I noticed that depending on the time of day the current is harder than other times. But it isn't too bad. When the current is strong it is hard to steer a bit. But the ride back is a breeze. Well worth it
