If you live on the West Coast, there's often this lag time between when you check out of a hotel and when your flight goes out back home. My adult daughter and I had several hours to kill and we didn't want to be too far from the Fort Lauderdale airport. So we spent hours here, and it was great.... More

My wife, my toddler son, and I visited the zoo on a Saturday afternoon. We didn't really take our time and walked through the zoo in in about less than two hours. I feel like we saw pretty much every thing. My son loved the train ride. If the train went through a couple of exhibits, it would be so... More

We visit the Palm Beach Zoo pretty frequently. It is a great spot to go with younger kids because the zoo is very up close and personal. The zoo is relatively small compared to other zoos so younger kids don't get completely worn out walking around. Since it is a smaller zoo, a lot of the bigger typical zoo animals... More

I go to this Zoo every month and always have a great time. It's small enough to get around in a day. Have the kids bring a bathing suit to play in the fountains.

We attended a wedding at the zoo and it was spectacular. The atmosphere was amazing and they even had some animals with handlers for the guests to get close to. Everyone loved the sloth. Great event at a fantastic venue.

This is a zoo that lets you get very close to the animals - obviously you can't touch them but for picture taking, it's great. There are Talks/Feedings every half hour, at different parts of the zoo. All were terrific. The Wings Over Water show is another close-up opportunity - an owl, a hawk, a buzzard - all landed within... More

The zoo was just too small and only path that every visitor has to take. It feels like you an animal and you are being corralled one way only from beginning to end. Otherwise an OK experience.

We had a wonderful day at the Palm Beach Zoo! The wife and I brought our 18 month old daughter recently and she had a blast. She loves animals and this zoo is a perfect size for children to get close to them and even feed some of the birds. Bring some quarters so you can buy some bird feed... More

West Palm Beach Zoo showcases animals from the American tropics, the Caribbean islands, Florida Everglades and from Asia. Cans of insect repellent were available for visitors at the zoo's entrance. It seemed to be nap for most of the animals. A few exhibits offered handfuls of food pellets for a quarter so that children could feed certain animals. The zoo... More
