Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great show at a quaint historic theater! Although there was not heat on in the middle of a cold front in FL.

Hello margrock12,
Thank you very much for attending our show!
Having recently taken over the operations of the Historic Himmel theater, we are assessing all areas in an effort to improve the product from an aesthetic and functional standpoint. We have some exciting changes coming to the theater that we believe will bring this beautiful, historic venue back into prominence as a staple of West Palm Beach.

Doug is no longer with the Harriet Himmel Theatre and we thought when the Hilton took over for catering our wedding was going to be in shambles. We were so wrong! Chiara took care of us and the food was actually better than the tasting we originally did with Doug and Ovations. Everyone told us they absolutely loved our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier. Easily held our ~130 guests and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was flawless!

This is an amazing place for events, including weddings, concerts, balls etc. The place used to be a church and then a theatre. It is one of the oldest buildings in the area, with Spanish Colonial architecture and the inside has beautiful chandeliers. I would highly recommend it!

We had our wedding held at the Harriet Himmel Theater on October 15, 2016 and we couldn't have been more pleased. From Doug the Manager to Christine the Chef... everything was perfect. Our guests were thrilled and treated with the best service and care. We had an open bar and the bartenders quickly became everyone's best friends.
I highly recommend hosting your next big event at the Harriet Himmel. They will help to make all of your dreams come true. đź’–

We were her to attend a wedding, and very special wedding as I am told the first one of its kind at this location.
First let me say the space is beautiful, if you have a love for architecture you will really be impressed.
We arrived at the wedding and greet with the most lovely people to guide to where we needed to be for the ceremony. After we were directed to the Cocktail hour, the setup was very nicely laid out with two bars and a table of meats & cheeses with the most delicious pass arounds I have had at a wedding in a long time. The server were so polite and attentive, you needed nothing, they were right there to assist you in what you needed. We were then brought down to the tables for dinner, the room was spectacular the way they arranged everything, from the flowers to the food and the service it was just AMAZING. I wish I could remember the name of the bartender that helped us during the evening, he was such a nice guy and was so pleasant to talk to and interact with. Everyone went out of there way to amen a flawless experience. Nothing was left to chance and no detail left un thought of. Great Job, I know back here in NYC we are still taking about it!

Went to a smaller wedding here. Was really beautifully done. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all done in the same building. They have a great setup.

What a great location. It is in the middle of the shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly. The inside had beautiful wood throughout, it had a very historic look. Be warned that it was June and it was freezing inside. If you cannot navigate the stairs, look for the elevator on the exterior next to the stairs.

Really nice place to be. I wasn’t lucky to see performance, because on that day there weren’t any, but still, I loved the place and all around restaurants, cafes.. Really nice. Water fountains.. People walking … perfect for evening relaxing time.
