We visited for a 2 day stay with our young children and staying at the legoland hotel (have a review for that as well) Before going to Disney we flew down a few days early to drive down to winter haven. I would recommend this as opposed to visiting after Disney, I also wouldn’t make a lengthy trip just to come to legoland. Strategy- You can get into the first half of the park at opening (10 am) with no trouble and ride a few rides with no line. 1 hr after opening (11 am) you can go past the lego mini world to more of the exciting rides. HUGE TAKEAWAY- don’t think by getting in at opening you can go to the backside of the park and get short waits. Go ahead and ride all the near rides. Experience- This is great for elementary aged kids. Light roller coasters, good interactive rides, and light crowds compared to other Orlando parks. We really enjoyed our 2 days at legoland. Cons- The staff does no enforce mask wearing. About 25-50% of visitors are not wearing masks while walking around.

If you are in Orlando area, definitely visit LegoLand as oppose to Disney for many reasons. The staff here is very nice, very clean, very homey. As oppose to Disney parks who force you to wear facemasks outside, take photos with masks and drink only stationary, in Lego, they are very lenient as how things should be. They only require to wear face masks inside and when social distance is not possible as with CDC guidelines, while Disney force you to wear everywhere on their property and constantly threaten to kick you out if you dont comply via staff running and megaphone announcing every five minutes. So after visiting Disney parks with so much aggravation, I felt so relaxed in Lego Park. Also would recommend visiting their water park, especially if you have young kids, they will have lots of fun, and you can also have challenging slides for adults.

The large Lego sculptures were cool, although my son said some of the ones he saw were concrete and not made out of Legos. But the ones that were, were cool. There are a few rollercoasters, but most rides are meant for little kids, so there wasn't too much for my teenage son to do, which is a shame, because he likes Legos, so this was the only theme park we went to while we were visiting Florida (we're trying to avoid crowds and COVID). I would have like to have done the 4D movie, because that sounds cool, but it appeared to be closed. Interesting, because the sign on the ticket booth said all attractions were open, but there were quite a few that were closed. This place is definitely geared at a younger audience, elementary school aged. We did go one one roller coaster ride, but the line was long since so many other rides were closed, and there was no staff enforcing the social distancing or masks. I was not happy to have the gentleman behind us standing too close and without a mask, or the family with five kids who were letting their kids who weren't wearing masks jump all over the rail next to us like it was a monkey bar. So, we were surrounded by people who weren't wearing masks and who weren't following the marks on the ground, as we were trapped in line. Otherwise, we might have left to escape those people. The staff in the park was nice, though, I will say. The woman at the drinks pavilion told us where to find the souvenir popcorn stands, and the guy at the popcorn stand was very friendly, too. Avoid this place if you want to avoid COVID, because even though it isn't crowded, reduced rides means crowded lines with non-mask wearers. Older kids will be bored. If you aren't worried about COVID and only have young kids, this place is good.

Hello from LEGOLAND Florida Resort, We appreciate you taking the time to share this thorough feedback of your time in our theme park, and are sorry to hear if any aspect of your experience was less than awesome! While it's awesome to hear that our Model Citizens were able to provide you with memorable experiences, we apologize for any difficulties that you may have encountered concerning the enhanced safety measures that we have in place due to COVID-19. All guest age 8 and older are required to wear a face mask when indoors and then enjoying our rides, shows, and attractions; additionally, social distancing markers have been provided throughout the theme park to help our guests enjoy our offerings at a safe distance from one another. If at any time you feel these measures are not being properly followed by other guests, please don't hesitate to bring this to the attention of one of our Model Citizens! We would be very interested in investigating your visit further; when you have the opportunity, please send us an email to LLF.Experience@legoland.com and reference case #6715031. We would then be happy to discuss the details of your experience in more detail so we can settle on ways that we can improve in the future!   Thank you again for sharing your experience with us, and we look forward to your response!   Cristen F.  Guest Communications LEGOLAND Florida Resort

Ugh! Where do I begin? We went here to spend our winter break vacation very exited because our teen son and baby son are die hard lego fans. After getting a very expensive vacation package, we ventured over here hoping for an all around quality up to the level of Disney and Universal and its not even close! First, our reservation included “free breakfast for the family”. When we arrived to the restaurant, the host told us that we we will not be allowed in the restaurant without a reservation. We had no idea because it doesn’t say we need to reserve our breakfast anywhere on the website, especially since we had an expensive 5 night vacation package. Anyways, we proceeded and made reservations for every morning. Moreover, we ended up making a reservation at the Pirate Ship Wreck restaurant for New Years Eve because my son dreamed of eating there. We arrived at 5pm for our 6pm reservation hoping to have our dinner so we can later go see the firework celebration. However, we were denied entrance to the restaurant and they claimed we did not have a reservation. Unbelievably, we went to the manager, a lady whose name I won’t name here because I don’t want her fired, was extremely rude and complained about not understanding my English because I am Hispanic and refused to allow me to go into the restaurant anyway. She proceeded to threaten to call security and I ended up eating a pizza with my family of 3 kids instead of the restaurant my son dreamed of because they couldn’t find my apparent reservation. If you are thinking of coming here, think again because the electronic disorganization and unfriendly workers make this place an awful place to go on vacation to.

We stayed for two days and one night recently. The children really enjoy the access to legos in the room and the scavenger hunt. Our two day ticket allowed us to spend an evening in the park and then the entire next day. We visited during the holiday season. The park was tastefully decorated and in some parts, holiday music could be heard. The Virtual Que rides made for less line wait time and more opportunity to see and do things. Food was like cafeteria food but reasonably amusement park priced. Model Citizens were very helpful. The park was geared to younger children but there were some rides that were geared for all ages. We loved the Lego Movie ride and glad we saved it for our last ride.
