Right at the back side of the Farmer's Market in Winter Park, FL is a newly opened (as of May 12, 2016) history museum which features the role Winter Park played in WWII and how society functioned differently during war time. Title: Winter Park: The War Years 19421-1945. Home front life in an American Small Town. Fascinating exhibits, all collected... More

What a wonderful display focused on Winter Park during WWII! This museum is set up like a film home in Winter Park during WWII. It was really informative and helped me to better process the stories from my parents and grand parents. I really liked the description of how Victory worked as I have my Grandfathers letters from WWII! The... More

We had looked up the museum before our trip and were hoping to see the ‘Trains of Winter Park’ exhibition, but it had unfortunately passed by the time we got there. Instead, there was an exhibit on Winter Park during WWII. Quite informative it all was. Loved the old photos, period newspaper and magazines! It was cool to see the... More

This great little museum is small but full of interesting information. The docent who greeted us was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. They currently have an exhibit about WWII. The parking and admission are free but they do accept donations. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy history and are in the winter park area.

We have visited Winter Park a few times as we live about an hour away. It was our first visit to this small museum on a rainy day. The young intern (from Rollins College, I believe) was very welcoming. The present museum, just a large room, centers on the railroad history of Winter Park. There is a short video to... More

Tiny little museum, but well worth a visit. The Lady we met the day we visited was so lovely, we were made so welcome and her knowledge of Winter was amazing. Sit on the sofa and watch the short film then wander and see the model railway.

A small museum but worth a stop! The displays are well described and thoughtfully laid out. A lovely little collection of RR memorabilia.

Small museum with rotating exhibits. During our visit, Winter Park trains were highlighted. Coming up soon will be an exhibit on World War II. Friendly and knowledgeable docents.
