About
A fantastic museum/heritage park, established in the redundant buildings of an old `Victorian farm. A registered charity, it is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, and is open on the second Sunday of each month and all Bank Holiday Mondays from Easter to October. An amazing collection of stuff on display and being demonstrated by our members. Do not miss it !

Really nice little museum, active displays of the blacksmith and the saw mill. Morris dancing and classic cars when we went. Little cafe with outside seating. £9 each to get in which is a little steep I feel ( it says £7 pounds when I googled it). I really enjoyed it, like going back to the past. Friendly, run by volunteers. Not open that often .

What an amazing place! While trying to find something to do on Bank Holiday Monday, Pitstone Green Museum popped up on Google. We have always lived in the area, and quite frankly, we didn't even know that this place existed. Classic cars, Steam engines, vintage farm machinery, vintage computers from the 70's 80's and 90's that you can play on, a Lancaster Bomber cockpit that you can go in, pottery, craft fair, tractor rides, second world war collections...the list goes on. The staff were very polite, which all helped to contribute to a great family day out.
It is open most bank holidays, and a few weekends a year. Definitely go and have a look when it's open.

Was recommended by a friend and what a great place it turned out to be. Run by enthusiastic volunteers who are only to keen to share their knowledge. The Lancaster cockpit recreation was a real insight. The other displays gave a real insight into not only rural life but how things were back in the day!

The children (aged 2 & 4) loved it - so much to see and do. Old tractors, the blacksmith, Wags Wharf model, three other model railways, loads of model engines, old farm tools and machinery (including stationary engines), print shop, carpenter shop, pottery, ride-on railway, oh and today there was a steam car giving rides! Well worth the money we spent, the volunteers were excellent, very friendly and helpful showing the children everything. They came home recounting their adventures! Would recommend to anybody.

A really interesting way to spend 3 or 4 hours seeing exhibits on rural life during the last century.
An education for all including children to watch and take part on the potters wheel, see basket weaving, watch a very large saw cut a tree trunk into planks, model railways and model boats
Well worth a visit

We were undecided as to where to visit on a recent Bank Holiday and, on the spur of the moment, decided to visit this Buckinghamshire gem.
In addition to a very good Farm Museum, we watched Lace being made; a demonstration of Tatting; admired numerous Craft stalls that included a lady who burnt (lovely!) images onto wood; a Blacksmith; we were entertained by some hand wound wind Musical instruments that produced really nice music; watched paper being printed on Old Machines.
There were some interesting models including Early Engines and a very impressive recently constructed Lancaster Bomber cockpit which my Father-in-Law flew during WWII that was of huge interest.
Tractor rides and a steam driven car all added to the excitement.
The Cafe had a good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices and the large parking area controlled by three of four men was FREE!
This is a shining example of what volunteers can do - go when they are next open.

We discovered this place by accident whilst looking for the Windmill down the road and we are so glad we did. It's only open 9 days per year and we lucked out by being in the area on one of those days.
It's marketed as a farming museum but it is so much more than that.
The farming stuff is fascinating in itself with lots of (working) engines and machines on display, but they also have model railways (the clincher for my kids); classic car displays; a steam powered car you can ride on; tractor rides; pottery; printing; vintage radios; a science room (old, working, computers with retro games); wood working; a blacksmith; lace making and on the day we went Morris dancing! (There's more but I won't spoil it for you).
The place is run entirely by volunteers and they are all brilliant and spend loads of time sympathetically answering the barrage of questions from me and the kids.
Quick tip - when the kids start to miss the tech - get them to do slo-mo videos of some of the machines!
Loved it!

We are all so pleased that you enjoyed yourselves, we (volunteers) enjoy it almost as much as you visitors seem to ! Best wishes - Pete F

Run completely by volunteers - shame it only opens about 9 times a year. First visit and certainly won't be the last. Many old farming implements, engineering machines large and small, model railways, tractor rides, craft stalls/sales etc, communications room including cockpit of Lancaster bomber. Many very knowledgable and approachable volunteers. Nice little cafe and today there was a small band of musicians and energetic tap dancing group. Understand last attraction changes depending on time of year.
