Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When you arrive, driving anything, has a lot of people asking you to “park”. Or pay to park or buy a drink, your choice. After you enter, has a gift shop, and literally a hole in the ground. But people said: “with the yesterday’s rain, today the water don’t have the necessary flow”. So we didn’t see anything. Has some trash in the ground, you can’t enter the sea, i mean, nothing to see after a raining day.

Visiting the island we wanted to see the sights. We saw this so called attraction and as we came up to it we were confronted by so called guides. We erroneously assumed that if this sight needed a guide it must be large hole in the earth, WRONG! The so called guides are to make you think that you need a guide and if you buy a cocktail the guide is included. We bought two cocktails and the guide disappeared. We walked over to the “hole” and could see a hole in the ground is about 2 feet wide. There was no wind blowing out of it because it was high tide. Apparently, at low tide you can see a small cave which catches ocean air and it come out of the ground level hole...we really felt stupid! The best places are the mini beaches that are around the island because of the clear water. The island is run down, you are welcomed by an old worn out airport, The hotels are not in the best conditions. Very disappointed , never to return to San Andres.

Didn't even blow when we went, and there's not much to do around the area other than buy from the shanty marketplace around it.
Gets really crowded with people waiting for the hole to blow. I say... you're better off spending your time at the beach, don't waste it here.

This attraction is super short and super fun! You stand around the hole and the air dislocation from the waves literally blows you away. Just see the tourists going thru it is a good time. Highly recommended.

Firstly this Blow Hole depends on how rough the sea is. On a nice days it’s unlikely to see the water shoot up through the hole in the rock. We hired a buggy and were waved in by an official tourism man to park. He told us there was no charge to see the blow hole and parking was free if we bought a drink. The drink we’re quiet expensive for 2 adults and 2 kids. As we left my husband spotted a sign saying we could pay just 5000 pesos to enter and pointed out that we had been conned into buying drinks. The tourist guide got very aggressive and started using very strong language in front of our 6&8 year old. I asked him to stop cursing in front of the children and he said my husband started it. We argued that he didn’t curse, then the guide threatened to cut my husband with a machete. I asked to see the name on his official tourism guide badge (the badges we’d seen at other venues), he hid it. We paid for our drinks and left very shaken. Be wary!

Nothing to see! It was years ago a very interesting nature view . Unfortunately now is just a hole in the middle of horrible constructions for garbage sales. It’s incredible , les that one meter and you have those kiosks !

It’s a hole of about 50 cm width that blows every time a wave comes... but it’s a crowded place, and the locals asking for money sometimes with a bad attitude don’t make this place a must go !!

Come on, this is a touristic attraction, why won't anyone keep this place CLEAN at least? Anyways, it is worth visiting, and it is free of charge
