We drove all the way to Madison to see the town and tour Heritage Hall. We did not get to take tour because no one showed up to work to give the tour. We knocked on door and called number with no response. Was told by someone in town that this wasn't first time that this had happened recently. The... More

I enjoyed the tour of this remarkable home in the heart of Madison, GA. It is exemplary of 200 year old architecture in the Deep South and beautifully restored. The docent was wonderful. Rooms are so dutifully decorated to period. This a must see if you love this period of history and/or are a lover of the architecture. The town... More

This was our first stop for the Christmas home tours. We enjoyed learning more about those that had lived in the home and tidbits about the various furnishings.

My sweetheart and I took a day trip to Madison and this is just one, of many, enjoyable sights to see. One of my favorite parts was the "ghost" from upstairs. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys learning about history, culture and how things were in the "old days."

Heritage Hall is a beautiful home restored and furnished properly. It's a fine example of how the upper class of the area lived, in comparison to the furnishings of Rogers House. Because the house was once owned by a doctor, there is a fine collection of surgical instruments on display. However, the young man who was the docent on the... More

Heritage Hall has been the most visited attraction in historic Madison, Georgia, since it was opened to the public in 1977. And Madison has been widely acclaimed as the "most beautiful small town in America." So don't miss either one of them while driving on the Antebellum Trail from Athens to Macon. Located in the heart of downtown Madison, at... More

Heritage Hall is a stunning old Southern home. The decor is breath taking. Also, it is known to be one of the most haunted homes of the SouthEast We rented the whole house for my daughter's wedding about 15 years ago and everyone was thrilled to be in a real haunted house. The house depicts how many lived in the... More

We couldn't go inside this historical building but it is quite a sight from the outside. We'll have to go back to see the inside.
