Visited the beach on a warm, breezy morning. We had our dog with us on a long lead; she really enjoyed romping in the waves. The beach is very long and wide; nice and sandy.

East Beach is definitely NOT one of those tourist trap beaches, like Myrtle Beach & some others. It's quiet, litter-free, lovely & a joy to sit out sunning yourself, go for a nice walk, or get some swimming in. During the off season, it's practically...More

While on St. Simons , you must go to the beach. East Beach has plenty of parking for beach access and has showers and bathrooms. Life guards on duty.

This is nice public beach - lots of parking, wide beaches, and three life guard stations if you are there with the little ones.

Great bath house and concessions at beach entrance. Very wide beach and not overly crowded even on summer weekends. Easy to find and lots of free parking.
