Our tour group looked at historic tombstones in the church yard enjoyed the plantings and then toured the quiet cool interior. There are a variety of stained glass windows and pew plaques where presidents have attended services.

Christ Church has a very interesting history . It is best to visit when the church is open and there will be someone there to talk about the history. The cemetery in the back is also very interesting with many famous historical people buried there.

This is a quaint little Episcopal church still in use that is lovely in its idyllic setting, especially in early April when azaleas are in bloom. There is a docent inside on afternoons to give a little history and answer any questions you may have.

Very interesting stop. So much history. Loved the stories about the people that started the church. I would go back and visit and spend a little longer. So full of history.
