A pleasant surprise and a great place to pick up some unique gifts
A few years ago the courtyard centre was a drab run down space, but now, it is a beautiful place to visit to have a meal in the newly run cafe which extends into the old barn area and is truly welcoming and pretty with a bar and seating for families. Food is delicious and staff are welcoming and friendly. The little shops surrounding the courtyard are full of unique gifts that you wouldnt find anywhere else and are hand crafted by local artisans. Car park could do with a bit of a repair though, but its definitely a work in progress and we will be going back.

    Tidy but ghost town effect
Sorry to say but we were rather disappointed this time. We always made a point of visiting when staying in nearby Bournemouth and always found the little craft shops interesting. It is fair to say that the whole place has been tidied and generally looks more inviting. We got there about 3pm and found most of the places closed, not that we needed cosmetics or dog care but the pottery place was open and good. We looked into the cafe as we always stopped there for a light meal, however whether they were about to close I don't know but the three staff totally ignored us. It is now very different but it would have been good to see a menu or at least been acknowledged. We didn't get a chance to try anything and probably will not return there.

    A must visit all year
The courtyard craft craft centre has so much to offer these days, the owners have done a great job freshening it up and still plan to do so much more. There are businesses offering workshops, gifts, foods and health and beauty plus a fab restaurant, they are all great small indi businesses that also welcome dogs and there is free parking. Would thoroughly recommend.

Awful experience! Made to feel like a saddo when I ate solo! Ordered pancakes for first time ever - pure sugar (and a quarter of a banana)! When I complained she just shrugged and told me that I should have realised that it would be sweet! That is after they tried to put two of them in front of me .... totally embarrassing experience and one to forget!

Lovely lunch at The Cowshed. Food was gorgeous and the atmosphere relaxing.
We were staying at the campsite next door so was a nice stretch of the legs on a gloomy day to have a light lunch and a wander around the small craft shops.

Had a fabulous meal in the cowshed and loved the shops. Only downside was there are no accessible toilets so my dad struggled to get in with the walker and wheelchairs would never have been able to use the mens or ladies. There is one accessible parking space but ramps are okay and it’s fairly even. Might have missed the accessible toilets but if we did they were well hidden. Such a shame.

The Café makes it worthwhile.

The Courtyard centre has changed lots over the last decade. In its current form it’s a lot quieter then it once was. It lacks in the variety and life it’s had at times.

That being said it’s currently propped up by the existing café ‘The Cowshed’. This makes the courtyard worth visiting.

Today we had a delicious cooked breakfast at The Cow Shed in The Courtyard Centre, Lytchett Minster. Lovely friendly staff, great quality tasty food, varied menu, competitively priced and pleasant decor.
We’re going to make it a regular Sunday brunch outing. Recommended to everyone.
