Th rock and the surrounding area are part of the natural beauty of the country. This carving is a clumsily executed artwork adjacent to a laughable landscaped lake area which backs on to a poor quality amusment park. If you'd rather see that than look...More

The carving is absolutely amazing. Not enough history and the theme park takes away from nostalgia. Wish there was more to enjoy

Beautiful carvings. Enjoyed listening to the story of how they were etched into the stone and how long it took them. Worth visiting.

The carving are amazing. The book they sell in the gift shop tells a lot of information about the carving in the rock.

The carving is a work of art, not to be missed. There are very few places in the world where you can see stone carving of this quality. Do not miss it. Men died in the process of completing it. And, there is a wonderful,...More

Went to check out the park, while in Atlanta. We went about 5:30 pm. They charged each car $20.00 to enter. We had never been there so we asked what was there to do. The collection person, said well the main park is closed for...More

You're going to be one of two different types of tourists to this site: One of those "Heritage Not Hate" people who celebrate the Confederacy, or someone totally disgusted that they were still building monuments to Jefferson Davis as late as 1970. There's no history...More

This is a beautiful carving. The laser show at night off the mountain is awesome. Going to the top is fun. They need to keep this beautiful carving on the side of the mountain.

Great to see and learn about the history here. We try to come many times a year and always learn something new. If you get a chance to watch the movie in the theatre about the carving it is very intersting.

It’s large. You cannot get too close, but good viewing areas. I felt a little uncomfortable the way it celebrates the confederacy.

The park entrance fee and parking fee are the same. You pay to enter the park. I believe it is $10ish (maybe less) per vehicle. Once you are inside all attraction fees are separate and extra.

I believe the entire complex is called memorial park and it is free with park admission. The best place to watch is on the big lawn right in front of the carving. Bring a blanket or lawn chair though
