There are some great views from the welcome center. It’s cool that they have some refreshments up top. The staff is super friendly and all of them greet you. The bathrooms are very clean too!

Manned by volunteers, this is a friendly place to gather information on the Atlanta area, Stone Mountain Village and the Stn Mtn Park. It is in an old caboose and is a great little place to just stop and rest.

If you're already at Stone Mountain, you won't regret putting forth the effort to get here. The Welcome Center is interesting, but not especially noteworthy, except the view. Where else around Atlanta can you get a view like this?
