We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to see this preserved plantation. Excellent tour. Knowledgeable guide. BEAUTIFUL grounds. Allow a few hours to visit. Good walking shoes is a must. I would think a visit in the spring when the plants were all in bloom would be awesome!

If you are looking for an authentic plantation to visit, Pebble Hill is the place to go. Located in SW Georgia, it is in the lovely town of Thomasville, which is also loaded with Victorian and antebellem homes. Our guide/docent, Robert was extremely knowledgeable, well spoken, and was able to provide a personal tour of the main house as it... More

Pebble Hill is a spectacular place to learn about the history of the area. The main house is a real gem filled with exquisite artwork (Audubon, Munnings, etc.) and the collection is a great example of fine sporting art. The grounds are beautiful filled with local flowers and majestic trees, most notably old growth oaks and pines. The stables are... More

What a treasure! Beautiful and interesting. I made a special trip to see the plantation decorated for Christmas. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to go back for a visit.

For years I have driven by the entrance to Pebble Hill on the way to Tallahassee and never stopped. BIG MISTAKE! We arrived shortly after lunch and spent the rest of their working hours walking around the property. It was beautiful. I would suggest you take the house tour as that gives you the most information, but I was slightly... More

PH is a beautiful place to visit. My family and I love only 20 minutes from the plantation and we visit regularly. The buildings and grounds are unbelievably photogenic and it's so peaceful yu feel as though you're 1000 miles away from everything. Pack a lunch and head down to the lake for a picnic.any days you'll feel as though... More

I've been to Pebble Hill 100 times, literally, and still haven't seen it all. Whether it's an event like the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival or a Saturday morning tour, we use Pebble Hill to explain Thomasville's plantation history to out of town friends who are visiting. The house tour is a no brainer, but most people don't realize they can... More

Pebble Hill Plantation harkens back to the days of southern hospitality on a grand scale with antebellum homes and fields of cotton and sugarcane and dashing cavaliers, a blueprint for Margaret Mitchell's epic novel "Gone With The Wind." Located five miles south of Thomasville, Georgia, and 25 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida, on U.S. Highway 319, Pebble Hill covers 3,000... More

We took the guided tour. Our docent, Ms. Anne, was friendly and knowledgeable. The story of the property and its owners is very interesting. There is an option to do a self guided tour of just the grounds, but I strongly recommend that you pay the extra to tour the home also. There is a picnic area and places for... More
