The Island is small and easy to find your way around. Walking on the beach was safe. However, watch out for a lady in her 60's driving an older blue ford mustang, she is either legally or illegally on drugs. She followed us all over the Island and attempted to run us off the road for pulling from a green... More

I enjoyed the beach and Tybee is a small island that is perfect for couples. I wouldn't recommend the night life if you're under 40 but its good food. :)

While Tybee island is beautiful, don't bother coming with your dog. Dogs are never allowed on the beach and you can be fined up to $1000. I understand restricting dogs during peak hours in the summer, but not an outright ban. The world is changing when it comes to pets and shame on Tybee Island for not changing too. We... More

February is a great time to visit Tybee Island Beach. The beach is quiet. Great time for a stroll without the crowds. The water has been pleasant for the month of February. beach.

We went for sunrise and it was very quiet and beautiful. There's a great fishing pier. I'm going to have to go back and everything is open.

I love Savannah Beach (Tybee Beach). The sand in brown, but not as a result of pollution but the result of the tremendous amount of nutrients from the surrounding salt marshes. These marshes and nutrients produce a huge fishing/shrimping industry for Georgia. On lots of occasions I have seen Dolphins swimming off-shore, and on one occasion while we were swimming,... More

I have been here several times and loved it each time! Last Saturday families were playing in the sand, building castles, throwing Frisbies, tossing baseballs, softballs, and footballs around, some were bicycling on the beach during low tide, and I picked up many beautiful shells! I loved the sand and the sun and the very people were very well mannered... More

Tybee doesn't have much of a board walk area which would make it more fun. The beach is great, the waves are tiny, you can drink beer from cans (bud light is the local favorite). This is a no dogs beach which is weird because Savannah is so dog friendly.

This is Savannah's beach town. The Tybee Island beach is beautiful. What is amazing is how wide the beach actually is at low tide. Just a great place to bring the family. There are plenty of hotels/motels at reasonable prices.

I love the small town feel of Tybee. We go every year! The beach is patrolled well and often and I love that the Marine Science Center is practically on the beach. I love hearing the work they do for local wildlife (like the sea turtles).
