North SHore beachis nice, but it's hard to get to. We wanted to go to the area where the Savannah River comes together with the Ocean and it was near impossible.

Beautiful beach, not crowded, can watch the large ships come into the Savannah port, can spot dolphins.

We love this beach but never used to go because of the lack of showers/bathrooms. This however will no longer be an issue. They just built brand new facilities to accommodate to everyone's needs. This is great.

Ah! Loved this beach! So pretty, calm and relaxing. We went in the off season and it was chilly. Not very many people out. Loved the swings that were on the beach! This beach isn't very touristy and I loved that- "all natural" so to speak.

The North Beach access has been closed since the hurricane last fall because they're still cleaning up the debris but it is still worth going there! I prefer this beach because there are less tourists and more shells and other treasures to find in the sand. If you park in the lot (pay parking) you can go into the bathroom... More

It was great to visit the North Beach. The sand has many Tiny broken up seashells in it and there are shells for the taking. The view of the lighthouse from the beach is beautiful. The waves and sea foam splashing up onto the land makes this a very peaceful site.

We didn't plan on swimming in December, but wanted to check out this North Beach. It seems like it's the best place to be and a busy place during the summer. Sadly, it got hit pretty badly this summer (2016) from Hurricane Matthew. Currently, they are working on cleaning up debris and chopping up wood that was destroyed. And there... More

We stayed at Blue Cottage, a short block walk to North Beach with a safe pedestrian crossing over the main Tybee road. Once there it was a sandy coastal walk and a shell collector's candy store, all the way for half an hour to Tybee lighthouse, which tells a proud history of protecting the sailors off shore for nearly 200... A quieter place to hang out compared to the beach by the pavilion. They finished new bathrooms, changing rooms, snack bar and showers for folks right next to the North Beach Bar and Grill. We love spending quiet time here. Lots of parking however the huge lot is currently being used for all the tree debris left from Hurricane Matthew.
