The WC Birds of Prey offers a unique opportunity to see many endangered birds of prey from all over the world. The staff is very knowable. Good for a family experience. Probably 1 of the few places in world to see California Condor up close. Exhibits suitable for children.

We had an amazing day at the world center for birds of prey - we watched a peregrine and hawk perform in open air and they flew so close it almost felt as they touched your hair. A wounderful experience where you got to see these majestic and intelligent birds up close. It was also possible to go and see... More

This is a jewel in the collection of unique and amazing Boise experiences. The guides and docents are incredibly well-versed in all things ornithological. Don't miss the museum building with all the rare books, old items, and authentic displays. Also, be sure and see the live demonstrations and up-close bird experiences. You'll be amazed at what you learn...well worth the... More

Wonderful to visit if you time it right and can see the demonstrations, otherwise it's hit and miss. A good cause though and worthy of support.

We were planning a trip to the Grand Canyon this summer and a friend told us about the Condor Recovery Program at the World Center for Birds of Prey. Turned out it was only 7 miles from our house!! It was absolutely fascinating to learn about the condors. Not too long ago, there were only 22 in the world. Birds... More

It's pretty sad that you've lived in the Treasure Valley for 17 years and just now seeing this amazing place. Pretty drive out to the Birds of Prey and beautiful grounds! The birds were to do over head flying the day we visited but due to the high winds the staff brought the birds to us within the confines of... More

This was a unique experience. It is a small private refuge doing big work. I learned about the art of falconry and these amazing birds! Make sure you take advantage of all of the lectures as this is when they bring out birds you may not otherwise see and they have a question and answer session! Great for kids.

The reason we stayed one extra night in Boise was to see this Bird Center. It was worth it as the birds are magnificent. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. The guided tour is very interesting as are the exhibits. We were lucky that day to see two beautiful falcons training for their show that weekend. What a... More
