Beautiful capitol with traditional architecture. The state and senate houses are impressive and accessible during off-times. Be sure to look at the old photos on the walls of previous senators and state representatives. Also look out for the "vault"

My wife and I have tried to visit as many state capitols as we can and it's quite a few- nearly half. If Idaho's isn't the best I can't think of one that is! If you are going to be in Boise put it at...More

My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit to the Idaho State Capitol. Extremely quiet and easy to walk around - no guided tour while we were there so we just grabbed a brochure from the lobby and walked around on our own. Well worth...More

This capitol building is on a hill overlooking the city and countryside. It is a fun outing to tour any capitol, but this is is better than average.

The Idaho State Capitol building is located in downtown Boise. The building was open to the public and we toured the lower level gallery which has a wonderful, historic exhibit of the history and politics of Idaho.

I visited the Capitol building and did a self tour. It's a very nice building (I'm probably bias since I live and work in the Capitol building in Helena) but this building is very nice!

Husband and I came to Boise specifically to visit the State Capitol, so it was slightly disappointing to find that there were no guided tours - but you can use a brochure to guide yourself. We got our bearings by watching a couple of films...More

To see the amount of work put into building places like this is simply amazing. Walk up the steps past a Liberty Bell replica, and into beautiful marble rooms. We did the self guided tour, and took our time visiting each wing of the building....More

Hello, If the dog is a service animal, it is welcome in the building. For all other animals, we request they do stay outside. Thank you for your question.

I really don't know since I don't have pets. I'm sure you could call and ask, or see if there's a web site.
