Exploring the capital doesn't take a lot of time. Easily fits into busy schedules since you provide yourself with the tour. You feel free to come and go wherever you please and take all the time you want to sit in chairs or stare at the inside of the rotunda or go to the top floor and peek out the... More

Take the tour, it is extremely interesting. The new basement addition has been done beautifully. This is great for learning about where state government happens. All of the meeting and hearing rooms are nicely done, and the rotunda is lovely.

The Statehouse is located in downtown Boise and easy to get to, FREE to visit and fluff great historical lore. You will discover a secret about the marble columns and be able admire huge solid antique wood doors. In the basement is a tiny gift shop, and be sure to look up....amazing!!

Had a pretty walk with family, peaceful during the day yet slightly snug out for traffic at sunset. Place is great, lots of good coffee shop and galleries around.

Whether your are just visiting, a newcomer, or a long time resident, you will be rewarded by a visit to our state capital building to enjoy the beautiful decorations and the building's grandeur. You might even be lucky enough to visit when one of the many musical groups that come by during the holidays is performing. Our state house is... More

Worth a walk through, the building is gorgeous and you can see each chamber up close (more so than other Capitols).

Fabulous building; architecture and marble are breathtaking! To my surprise, coming from another state, the Capital Building is open without a security system. Amazing in this day and age.

Was an impressive site, appreciated the exterior statues, plaque, and park area. Was helpful for my 7 year old to discuss politics. Was able to go and see the house and the senate chambers. My 2 year old loved the squirrels and the bell, just be carful that bell is super loud if your ringing it. My ear still rings... More

It's almost a big park, but wish it was even MORE park-like. Could use more shady spaces and seating areas to really take it to the next level. The building itself is beautiful, though.

An amazing building that defies expectations for its time. A beautiful walk up through its surrounding gardens unveil a gorgeous white marble foyer. We were fortunate to see the Christmas tree from the area being prepared to be delivered to Washington DC.
