I love that any time I visit downtown Coeur d'Alene, I can WALK to an awesome in-town hike. The 2.3-mile hike skirts the water in places and is fairly high in other places. However, there are many offshoots that lead down to the water for a swim in the summer or for skipping stones in the winter. Dog friendly!

Lovely timber hiking--right off of downtown. I've been hiking for years here. Good views of lake. Not overly difficult.

Easy hike around beautiful Lake CDA. You have a great view of the lake and the resort. The hike has several different paths, so it is your choice whether to make it easier or more difficult. The only downside it how crowded the trails are during the summer time. There are lots of kids who like to go up and... More

I've lived here all my life and hiked around Tubbs several times. My favorite is just hiking from the park to the point.

Right next to the Coeur d'Alene Resort Hotel! Perfect early morning hike or any time of day. Beautiful views of Lake CDA! About 11/2 hours round trip! Java or Bakery By the Lake for a coffee!! Enjoy

A great place to go hiking with a buddy. The views of the lake are spectacular. Some people like jumping off the cliff into the lake, but I like to stay on the trails... which isn't always easy. I have heard of crime on the hill, and know the local teens like to go up there to smoke pot. So... More

I live in Coeur d'Alene. One of the best advice I can give you. If you want an eagles view of the lake. And a great day trip. Hike Tubbs Hill. Go to the top of one of the trails. There's even a place called fairy Rock. Yes, there are fairies there. After you've hiked and enjoyed a beautiful day... More

Nice pretty hike in the snow. Took the trail that went around the hill next to the lake. Easy walk even in the snow. There is a pretty cool suspension bridge on the way. If you prefer something more strenuous , you can go up over the hill.

Fab walk with family. Very clean yet slightly difficult perhaps for an older person as there is no set pathway. We especially enjoyed being able to get right up to the lakes edge. With the sun setting, the sound of happiness ringing through the air and veing surrounded with those you love, it was a truly sublime moment. Highly recommend!
