The scenic drive was beautiful but the road was closed for the last mile up to the point. We parked and hiked and it was well worth the effort for the breathtaking views in multiple directions. Pictures do not do justice to the beauty of...More

Took the family on a day hike. Headed up the Huckleberry loop and came back down the Ridgeline trail. Great trail along the lake and through the woods.

This big state park offers great camping, hiking, biking and water sports on Payette Lake. It is located on a peninsula that juts way out into the lake. This gives a long finger of forest surrounded on three sides by water. Love to hike and...More

This beautiful park is located on McCall's Payette Lake. The park is an Idaho State park, so requires entance fee or state park pass. The park is busy is the summer, so reserve a spot ahead of time.

The park map should have the maximum foot length on the campsites where you make reservations. My favorite are the loops in the old part, Aspen, Blackberry, Chokecherry.

Stan, sorry we can't give you any feedback on the campsites other than it all looked pretty in there. We were only spending the day there. Fishing was not good for us or anyone else that we could see in the area.
