Lovely area

I love to visit here, its very pretty. The water doesn't always look the cleanest to swim but as far as fishing/camping, its always a great time!

Me and my husband planned outdoor. We visited spring valley reservoir. It is Idaho outdoors at it's best. The scenery is stunning, the wildlife active. It is a wonderful place for birdwatching: we saw eagles, osprey, red-winged blackbirds, flickers, goldfinch, lots of geese with darling fuzzy goslings, and many others on the morning we visited. The walk around the lake is... More

I've been here twice. Once for a day trip to walk the trail and wade the lake. A second time for overnight camping. As a beginner camper with friends, I had a great experience. It was quick and easy to both find a spot & pay for the site ($10/night). It gets crowded with people in the afternoons on a... More

Our car rallye needed a picturesque drive to take the place of a previously planned drive due to fire closure. The desk clerk at the hotel recommended this drive, and it was a very pleasant, beautiful drive, ending at a small reservoir that had plenty of camp and picnic spots, quite clean, and even had larger covered pavilions for big... Spring Valley has been a college/high school student hangout for decades, and on weekends it can get a bit loud and messy. There's an island to play on and fish to catch... A bit further down the highway there is Moose Creek Reservoir and its associated campground, and a really nice place at Big Boulder. Both are worth considering I... More

I was so disappointed in my last trip to Spring Valley Reservoir. I've been visiting Spring Valley for over twenty years, and I honestly have to say this is the worst management I have seen with regard to this park- The campsites the day I visited were filthy, remains of stinky and rotting fish pretty much everywhere. People were actually... More

We took an early morning drive out to here and it is so gorgeous. We love that this county takes great care of it's recreation parks. Everytime I come Moscow to visit my daughter I will definitely drive out here.

Just a little out of the way; but, sure worth the trip. The wildlife and scenery viewing is very nice, and the fishing is great. In addition to trout, there are some large-mouth bass, bluegill and crappie. There is one space reserved for swimming, so, you don't need to worry about kids getting hooks in their feet. There is a... More
