Fun little history spot but its a ten minute stop. Yes it is worth it to enjoy being in a real caboose and see local pictures of Batavia history.Hours are limited so check ahead.

I haven't been here since the 3rd grade but I remember it perfectly there is a native american exhibit where you can see warheads, bow and arrows, and Indian headdresses. It's a great place to go if you're a history guy like me.

Tucked away on the Fox River Trail is a wonderful historical center. When you see the train caboose then you will know you have arrived. It is only open a few hours on certain days so be sure to check the schedule. Otherwise you can take a few minutes off your bike ride and discover the history of Batavia.

Wonderful for local history information - great to take kids to. Can do research on your home - if you have one that is older. Wish it could be open more.

This museum is a small but well-maintained space for sustaining Batavia's history. Support it with a modest donation and then jump immediately afterwards onto the trail for a scenic walk along the Fox River. A sweet way to spend a few hours of your day. Pay attention to their limited hours before making a special trip!

By accident (and fortunate for us) we ended up here after a change in plans to visit the Outlet Mall in Aurora. And a lucky one for us too. Although we have driven through the area we have never had a reason to stop and look to see what this great little town has. Little did we know the history... More

Wonderful staff, a great place to take your children and grandchildren for a history lesson. Don't forget to take a walk around the river walk. If you are there in the summer time get a bag of popcorn for the stand across the street.
