The cemetery is right off the Constitution Trail so a nice extra ride or walk. Some famous folks are now resting there among the trees. Be sure to plan to attend the Walk in the fall to enjoy short stories by costumed residents.

We follow the signs to visit Adlai Stevenson's gravesite. Both Adlai senior and Adlai Stevenson the second are buried here with grave sites well marked along with their brief stories. This is a classic old cemetery that is beautifully maintained! Many interesting stories here.

What a great tribute to our fallen soldiers. Great ceremony. I have seen the original wall in DC many times, but to have the replica in town is an honor

So, the way we found the cemetery on some city roads it was by chance and by map because we didn't see any signs directing us to the gate. But once inside we were pretty impressed. I'd call it attractive, but not quite 5 star...More

We sought out this cemetery because the book WEIRD ILLINOIS mentioned a story about Dorothy Gage, niece of L. Frank Baum, and that he perhaps used the name Dorothy for his Wizard of Oz heroine in tribute to her. It gets more interesting ... google...More

This cemetery is beautiful and well maintained. Many historical figures are laid to rest here. The trees and shrubs give the it a park like feel. A good place for a walk or to visit our ancestors.
