As a vegetarian I have to say it was weird going to a zoo BUT then I found out that the zoo is known for taking care of rescue-animals and I have to say they really do. They try to create an environment which comes as close as possible to the natural one. That's why the prices are so expensive.... More

We have a membership and come often to the zoo. Kids love the zoo. Usually we stay for about 2 hrs and then have a picnic. Kids usually pick which part of the zoo they want to see each time because it is a big zoo. Definitely worth getting a membership if you are planning to come couple of times... More

my daughter's 11th birthday gift was a trip to Brookfield Zoo to experience the Flippers and Fins backstage adventure - and she says it was the greatest thing she has ever done, the best day of her life! Jamie, the host of the program, was perfect - absolutely phenomenal! The dolphin trainers were also wonderful! fun, so much to learn,... More

Always a great place to take the kids. Kids enjoyed helping decorate a Christmas tree and see all the animals. Staff are always friendly and informative. Clean. We have been going for many years. The zoo is true my a Chicago gem!

We went on a warm day in November and the zoo was deserted. It was great. It was like having the whole place to ourselves. We watched the dolphins and the gorillas for quite some time. The only downside was only two places were open for food. Be prepared to walk because the animals are pretty spaced out. It is... More

We love going to the Brookfield Zoo and we don't even have kids. The wolves are fascinating, as are the polar bears. Love that you can see them above and below ground. The Birds in Flight event this past summer was every bit as interesting as last summer. I love the butterfly exhibit too. But the bison are my favorite.... More

Great place to visit especially if you can get discounted tickets. Only downside is the parking lot. We were here on a very busy weekend and it took about 40 minutes for us to exit. Otherwise, love to go here!

Fantastic place if you love animals and nature. So many things to see and do. You really need a zoo pass to see it all. Well worth the money if you plan on visiting a few times a year.

The polar bear and brown bear swimming in their habitats are worth the trip all by them selves!!! So much to see here!
