Witty's Lagoon and beach has great trails and a wide expanse of sandy beach. It is possible to see numerous varieties of birds as well as seals and sea otters. There are not too many people usually and it is possible to find a quiet...More

Witty's Lagoon looks on the map to be in a relatively low-level landscape, or at least, it did to me. Wrong! It is formed around a cleft in the bedrock of the seashore, has a waterfall, bridges over rushing streams, exposed pillow lava beds, and...More

This is a great place for friends or family. Try to plan it around a low tide time of day. Always something to see in the tidal pools. You can walk in one end down a long set of stairs or in from the other...More

We walked through the park for over an hour. The waterfall was nice, but nothing special. It didn't help that it's been an extremly dry summer, so water flow is low. The Nature Centre was closed. We basically found Witty's Lagoon Regional Park boring, especially...More

Witty's always a favorite destination for a summer day. Fun and Sun! Two accesses, one stairs and the other a beautiful walk in the forest. Love it.

Another beautiful hike through lush forest complemented by a small waterfall and huge, picturesque Arbutus trees. There's a large parking lot, facilities and Nature Centre for kids. A short drive from Victoria combined with about a 30 minute walk to the beach, makes for a...More

Fall is a great time to hike at Witty’s Lagoon ! Golden-leaved trees brighten the forest, & scatter confetti leaves on well-trod trails that wind over little bridges, up & down woodsy steps, past widgeon-filled waters of the lagoon - all the while weaving through...More

We went to Witty's on the recommendations of locals as a great place to explore tide pools at low tide. Although the tide does go out a long way there were very few pools left behind and with little in them to explore. We were...More

A beautiful lagoon with nice beaches and some wildlife. We saw sea lions nearby. Great place just to sit and view the ocean or to have a nice walk. Wonderful.

If it's a little zodiac, you wear a float suit. If it is a larger vessel, you do not need a lifejacket. My cousin and aunt from Manitoba highly recommend the zodiac tour for the best experience!
